Tidelands Topics - An Educational Event

As part of our 25th anniversary events and in honor of National Hospice Month, Tidelands Community Hospice is sponsoring an educational day for professionals and community members on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Wachesaw Conference Center. The conference center is across the street from Waccamaw Community Hospital. The event will be held from 8:30 am through 4:00 pm. The topics and speakers will impart interest and valuable information.

The following topics have been scheduled for the day:
Understanding Dementia and Its Stages, presented by Delle Crowe, MS,CCC-SLP
Use of Narrative/Storytelling to Enhance Palliative Care, presented by Rebecca Sparrow, MSW, Elizabeth Mazurkiewicz, MSW, and Nanci Tansey, APRN
Coping with Grief During the Holidays, presented by Harrison Grey, D.Min. and
Richard Kaplan will present a 2-part session: Part I - Therapy Dogs and Service Dogs, and Part II - Training Shelter Dogs to become Service Dogs for Disabled Veterans

The educational event is free to registrants. However, please note that seating is limited, so registrations will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. Call the Tidelands Hospice office at 843-546-3410 for more information or to request a registration form.
