Resale Shop
A grand place to shop; A great place to donate.
July 2009 marked the opening of the Resale Shop in the Winyah Village Shopping Center in Georgetown. This is yet another way that Tidelands Community Hospice has an opportunity to increase its outreach to the communities it serves.
The Resale Shop accepts donations of new and/or gently used items. The proceeds from the sales of donations support our Tidelands patients and families. Donations are accepted during regular store hours. Volunteers perform a variety of tasks within the store, including greeting customers, accepting donations, sorting, pricing and stocking merchandise. New volunteers are always welcome; training is provided prior to working in the shop.
Tidelands Hospice Resale Shop can help to:
- Generate funds to help Tidelands Community Hospice's patients and families
- Increase community awareness about Tidelands Community Hospice
- Provide a safe and comfortable place for bereaved individuals to take a loved one's cherished possessions
- Provide Tidelands Hospice with an opportunity to give back to our communities by partnering with other non-profit organizations for special donations needed in the community
The shop's success depends upon a continuous supply of quality merchandise available to sell at reasonable prices. A donation receipt for tax purposes will be given for all donations.
