Services: The Watchman Program
Like our Hospice House, the Watchman Program distinguishes Tidelands Community Hospice from virtually every similar agency in the area.
Tidelands identifi es and carefully trains one or more persons in congregations within our service area to serve as Watchman volunteers. Because churches provide spiritual care, social interaction and vital support programs, these volunteers are an important extension of their ministry and a cornerstone of our mission.
Watchman volunteers convey the needs of their church family to Tidelands. They make sure their congregation is aware of the full range of services offered by Tidelands. They attend quarterly meetings with our staff and maintain close contact with their church leaders.
