The Tidelands Community Hospice Foundation uses donations and fund raising to support and help patients and families in our community in a variety of ways. We are here, if needed, to provide hospice care, medicines, and medical supplies; to meet their daily necessities of food, rent, utilities, and clothing; and to assist in situations beyond their daily needs such as aiding with transportation or sitters, providing exterminator services, fans and heaters, or granting last-wish requests. No one is ever turned away. Tidelands Community Hospice serves anyone who needs our care, regardless of their financial status or life situation.

Your charitable donation, regardless of the size, makes a difference, on a daily basis, in the lives of our patients and families, and for those in our community who are grieving the loss of a loved one.

Memorials

Memorial gifts are a meaningful way to honor the memory of a loved one or friend and to help support Tidelands Community Hospice. Because Tidelands Community Hospice cares for all patients and families who are in need Georgetown, Horry, and Williamsburg counties, regardless of their financial status or life situation, all donations, no matter the size, are welcomed. When a memorial donation is given, the family is sent a letter notifying them of the donation (the amount is not disclosed to them), and each donor is sent a thank you. We make every effort to send acknowledgements to families within a week of receiving the donation.

Some wish to assist Tidelands Community Hospice in providing care by requesting that, “In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice." If that is your wish, please use the language below in the obituary:

A Tribute Gift

A Tribute Gift is an excellent way to honor someone for a variety of personal and/or professional reasons. Birthdays, anniversaries, and a thank you for a kind deed or a job well done are a few examples.

Some families choose to honor Tidelands Community Hospice staff collectively or individually with a donation made in honor of the services they provided to the family. The honoree receives a letter notifying them of the donation, and the donor is sent a thank you.

Care, Comfort & Hope Annual Fund

Donations to the Care, Comfort & Hope Annual Fund assist with Charity Care, Patient Partners, and Special Projects. Charity Care provides hospice care, medications, medical supplies and equipment to all patients in need. Patient Partners provides daily necessities, food, clothing, rent, utilities, and other items to meet patients and families daily needs. Special Programs assists patients and families in situations that go beyond daily needs, such as providing additional care for a young mother dying of cancer to granting a patient’s wish. In addition, Bereavement Programs such as Support Groups, Grief Workshops, Good Mourning Day Camp for children, which are available free to all adults and children who are grieving, not just hospice families, are part of Special Programs as well as “We Honor Veterans” Program.

Fundraisers

All proceeds raised through fundraising events benefit our patients, families, and support services that are available to all your friends, family, and neighbors in the community. We welcome fundraising events of any size hosted by individuals, churches, and organizations. By hosting, attending, and/or sponsoring an event, you will make a difference.
