Our Purpose: The Foundation works to ensure that ALL in need of hospice, regardless of financial status or life situation, receive care.

It aids patients and families with essential non-hospice related expenses that are NOT covered under Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance-such as rent, food, utility bill, nutritional supplements, personal care items and supplies.

In addition, funding is available for situations that go beyond daily needs, community projects like bereavement support for adults and children and educational outreach programs on end-of-life issues.

Our Impact: Thanks to the support of donors, Tidelands Community Hospice, for forty years, has provided care, beyond the traditional hospice role, to over 12, 000 patients and families. We have helped them navigate difficult and challenging times.

Donor support allows us to provide care to ALL in need of hospice. Regardless of ability to pay or life situation, NO one in need is turned away.

Donations enable adult Bereavement support groups and the Good Mourning program for children and adolescents to be available to ALL, not just hospice families, at no charge.

DONATIONS

Donations to the Foundation directly support the services provided by Tidelands Community Hospice. As a locally based and governed 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit, donations go to work at once to meet the needs of those we serve and remain in the community.

Join us in making an impact in the lives of those we serve.
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us provide
care, comfort and support to those who need it most.

Ways the Foundation Supports Tidelands Community Hospice

Not all patients are covered by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance and not all are eligible to be covered. Rarely does Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance cover the cost of care or meet all patient and family needs. We turn NO one in need of care away.

At the end of life no one should be without the smallest of life’s necessities. Patient Partners aid patients and families with essential daily necessities and comfort supplies NOT covered under Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance -such as food, clothing, shelter, utilities and baby monitors.

We work with Tidelands Community Hospice’s care team to aid patients and families in situations that go beyond daily needs and are NOT covered under Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance- such as providing added care for a young mother with breast cancer, a bed for patient who had lost their home and personal belongings, assisting with funeral or cremation cost.

The program is free and available to all children and adolescents ages six through seventeen in Georgetown, Horry, and Williamsburg Counties who are grieving the loss of a loved one, friends, family pet through death or life situations such as divorce, family move or incarceration of a parent.

Celebrations of Remembrance, open to the community, are offered by the Foundation as part of Tidelands Community Hospice Bereavement services. They offer an opportunity to bring together families, friends, and our hospice community to celebrate, reflect, and remember loved ones who are no longer with us.

To bring awareness of Tidelands Community Hospice and its Foundation to members of the community, staff members are available to meet one-on-one or talk with your group. Programs can be tailored to meet the needs of your group. Please contact us to schedule.

Tidelands Community Hospice Foundation ensures that all who need hospice receive care, regardless of their ability to pay or life situation while providing essential support to their families and those who are grieving the loss of a loved one.
