Types of Gifts

Memorial Gifts

Memorial gifts are a meaningful way to honor the memory of a loved one or friend and to benefit patients and families.
When a memorial donation is made, the family is sent an acknowledgment letter notifying them of the donation (the amount is not disclosed), and each donor receives a thank you letter.

Some wish to assisted Tidelands Community Hospice in providing care by requesting that “In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Tidelands Community Hospice.” If that is your wish, please use the following language in the obituary:

Care, Comfort & Hope Annual Fund

Donations to the Care, Comfort & Hope Annual Fund assist with Charity Care, Patient Partners, and Special Projects.
Charity Care provides hospice care, medications, medical supplies and equipment to all patients in need.

Patient Partners and Special Programs aid patients and families with items NOT covered under Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance-basic daily necessities, certain supplies and aid in situations beyond daily needs.

Bereavement Support Groups, Good Mourning Program for children and adolescents and Celebrations of Remembrance are also included.

Tribute Gifts

A Tribute Gift is an excellent way to honor someone for a variety of personal and/or professional reasons. Birthdays, anniversaries, a thank you for a kind deed or a job well done are a few examples.

Some choose to honor to pay tribute to Tidelands Community Hospice’s team collectively or individually with a donation made in honor of the care the patient and family received. The honoree receives a letter notifying them of the donation and the donor is sent a thank you.
